ISO 14001 Certification
A级人体片During the construction period (2010 – 2016), the Environmental Management System is required to be established and implemented in compliance with specified standards. In an attempt to integrate safety and health concerns with environmental considerations, HPC has therefore applied the Safety, Health and Environmental Management System (SHE-MS) to the Project. The system has been gradually developed and improved over time, and is expected to fully comply with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and obtain certification by the third anniversary of the Commercial Operation Date (COD) or within the year 2019.
Project Rehabilitation Master Plan
Since this Rehabilitation Master Plan will be an integral part of the project life cycle, the Company shall therefore design it to ensure that future public health and safety are not compromised, any adverse socio-economic impacts are minimized, and the after-use of the sites is beneficial and sustainable in a long run. Such plan should be prepared no later than the COD and not less than six (6) months prior to the COD (in other words, before September 2015). HPC shall submit relevant documents to MONRE for an applicable permit with respect to the Project Rehabilitation Master Plan, including post closure monitoring and control measures.
Reforestation & Water Resource Conservation
A级人体片In addition to the proposed mitigation measures for minimizing the impacts of construction activities, the project is also committed to the contribution to forest conservation as part of the reforestation program, and to water resource conservation as part of the check dam construction project in Nam Kene Watershed. The reforestation program is the first step to “offset” a portion of the carbon dioxide emissions (Greenhouse gases) from the Project in the future. The native seedlings have been gathered from local forests and propagated in the nursery for the next planting season. Throughout the concession period, "HPC plans to conduct the reforestation program at approximately 25-30 hectares per year". The total reforestation area is 845 hectares, consisting of:
- 479 hectares in Hongsa District
- 183 hectares in Ngeun District
- 138 hectares in Xieng Xon District
- 45 hectares in Luang Prabang Province
